The Cardinal Band was established with 25 members when Bellaire H.S. first opened its' doors in 1955. Today, the Cardinal Band operates multiple ensembles including the Bellaire H.S. Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz and Rock Bands, the BHS Color Guard, and of course the Bellaire High School Mighty Cardinal Band  (the marching band). The band has performed in North America, South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia.  Most recently the Wind Ensemble performed in Seattle, Washington at the Western International Band Clinic as an honor ensemble.
