Clear Bag Policy

HISD has implemented a clear bag policy for all athletic events. This is a standard across Houston and the surrounding areas for athletic events and competitions. Bags and backpacks can be no larger than 12" x 6" x 12", and purses, clutches, or fanny packs can be no larger than 5.5" x 8.5". There are no size limits on diaper bags, as long as they are clear. Medically necessary bags do not have to be clear, but are subject to inspection. All patrons have to go through metal detectors, and all bags are subject to a visual inspection. Parent Accompaniment

All minors must bring a student ID and have a parent accompany them during athletic events. High school students are exempt from needing a parent; however, a school ID is still required. An adult can chaperone several students at one time.

• Edward Mercer Stadium

  Away side is on the east side of the facility WITHOUT the press box. Follow visitor parking signs.

• Butler Stadium

  Home side is on the west side of the facility (the band sits on the south side)
  Away side is on the east side of the facility (the band sits on the north side)

• Delmar Stadium

  Away side is on the south side of the facility (the band sits on the east side). Follow visitor parking signs to be closer to the HISD administration building.
