Mr. Rivera is currently serving his second year as the Assistant Band and Percussion Director for Bellaire High School.

Previously, Mr. Rivera has served as a Percussion Tech at Langham Creek High School in Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (Cy-Fair). At Langham Creek, he was able to support the program to achieve success in both Marching Band UIL preliminaries and finals, and TCGC State in 2023 and 2025 in Percussion Scholastic A class. Additionally, he served as a student teacher at Bridgeland High School and Keith Elementary in Cy-Fair ISD.

Mr. Rivera graduated from Langham Creek High School in 2019, where he studied under the direction of Gloria Ramirez. During his college studies, he attended the University of Houston, where he studied under Blake Wilkins and Alec Warren. At this institution, he was involved with the Wind Ensemble under the direction of David Bertman, the Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Franz Krager, and the Spirit of Houston Marching Band under the direction of Cameron Kubos.
